Observe: (v) To see or notice somebody/something.

Surface: (n) The top layer of an area of water or land.

Trick: (v) To deceive somebody.

Echo: (n) The reflecting of sound off a wall or inside an enclosed space so that a noise appears to be repeated; a sound that is reflected back in this way.
There was an echo on the line and I couldn’t hear clearly.
Secretary General: (n) The person who is in charge of the administrative department of a large international or political organization.
The secretary general of Pakistan was speaking to reporters on TV.
Appointment: (n) A formal arrangement to meet or visit somebody at a particular time, especially for a reason connected with their work.
They had an appointment with the chief minister.
Comment: (n) Something that you say or write which gives an opinion on or explains somebody/something.
They had no comments about the bomb blast.
Brief: (n) Lasting only a short time; short.
They gave us brief information about new plan.
Academy Award: (also Oscar)(n) one of the awards given every year by the US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for achievement in the making of films/movies.
They saw the pictures of the academy award winners on newspaper.

Pretty: (adj.) (of a woman, or a girl) attractive without being very beautiful.
She is a very pretty girl.
Except: (prep.)To not include somebody/something.
They did all the things except locking the door.

Caliph: (n) A title used by Muslim rulers, especially in the past.
When Ali was called caliph, he was surprised.
Wise: (adj.) Able to make sensible decisions and give good advice because of the experience and knowledge that you have.

Servant: (n) A person, who works in another person’s house, and cooks, cleans, etc. for them.
