Each year, various communities, international leaders, diplomats, and many organisations around the world celebrate World NGO Day on February 27th. Officially, the 12 member countries of the IX Baltic Sea NGO Forum of the Council of the Baltic Sea States recognized and celebrated in 2010. A good evening and a warm welcome to one and all present over here.
A ship is always safe at the shore but that’s not what it is built for. Initially, we roll down a red carpet of welcome to all the dignitaries, parents and guests; well-wishers and friends.
It’s an honour that this beautiful audience has gathered here. Indeed NGOs have significant roles to play, alongside government, in our improvement. Also, they take work of moral and social responsibilities that ought to be taken by the government.
